Designed by the famous Malibu architect Doug Rucker, the rustic mid-century home is literally nestled into the stone hills of Big Rock Mesa, Malibu. The unique design allows the observer to be part of the landscape, bringing people and nature together. The driving element of the estate’s design was to help the homeowner re-center himself into the natural environment.

The Malibu Mid-century Home was designed in the midcentury architectural style in which 20th-century interior design resurfaces with modern elements.
The style aims to create a minimalistic yet bold, clean, and simple living space. It appreciates the organic living style provided by architecture. Rucker designed the Rustic Malibu Mid-Century house to fit into nature, so he did not touch the majestic rock formation. He built the house to accommodate it instead. In addition to the rocks inside, the house offers a view of majestic stone outcroppings. The breathtaking views of Santa Monica Bay, Catalina, and the Queen’s Necklace can be enjoyed from the main rooms on the entry floor.
This Mid-century property had been in the same family since 1979, and it was never offered for lease or sale before. But it has been sold recently.
