Alfred Merrill Worden, 85, a controversial figure from the 1971 space mission, stirred controversy upon the astronauts’ return to Earth.
Worden was part of the spacecraft mission commander David Scott. The team made a space stamp book and brought it along with them in the hope of making it collectibles. Worden got into a heated argument with the moderator when he challenged him about his personal involvement in the trip. Worden was there to discuss the historic expedition on Good Morning Britain. “Why would you ask that?” Worden asked the moderator quickly.
Worden’s comments were overall fantastic. Worden believed that humans are aliens who have arrived on Earth from an unknown planet.
Worden was asked about his NASA job shortly after. The conversation quickly shifted to a more personal one.
