Taylor Swift did not sit with Brittany Mahomes at the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener on Thursday night.
It comes after the singer’s legion of fans begged her to snub the wife of star Chiefs quarterback Patrick because she appeared to endorse Donald Trump in the upcoming US election.
As they took their seats on the NFL’s opening night that saw the Chiefs play the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium, both appeared to be in different suites. It is a marked difference from last season when they were inseparable at games.
Swift took her her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury suite alongside the tight end’s family and friends. She was captured sitting next to both of Kelce’s parents – Ed and Donna – in the first half.
Mahomes, meanwhile, was sat with her adorable daughter Sterling Skye in a different suite as she cheered on her husband.

Both watched a thrilling first quarter that saw Derrick Henry score first for Baltimore before Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy grabbed a touchdown of his own immediately after. Two field goals from controversial kicker Harrison Butker gave the Chiefs a 13-7 lead.
It was a quiet start to the game for Kelce, who didn’t get his first target or reception until there was just under nine minutes left to play in the second quarter. But he connected with Mahomes for a long gain moments later to the delight of the crowd.
Swift has previously endorsed Trump’s rivals, while also accusing him of ‘stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism’, ‘feigning moral superiority’ and ‘threatening violence’.
But Brittany appears to be in favor of the Republican candidate with the former President taking to Truth Social to thank the WAG for her support earlier this week.
‘I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,’ he said.
Taylor and Brittany quickly formed a friendship last year – with the pair posing for snaps together, heading for dinners at A-list joints and wearing matching clothes.
A source even told Us Weekly the pair ‘have a really genuine friendship and ‘a similar sense of humor’ and ‘are always cracking jokes and laughing.’
‘Even if things didn’t work out between Taylor and Travis, Taylor feels like her friendship with Brittany would continue no matter what,’ they added.
Brittany all-but-confirmed her support for Trump by recently liking posts on Instagram supporting the Republican Party.

The pregnant mother-of-two liked a reply from a follower which said: ‘TRUMP-VANCE 2024’.
She also liked another message of support after she incited fury for initially liking a post from Trump about the November election.
‘Glad to see you aren’t backing down,’ the comment that she liked said. ‘We are all entitled to our own opinions and shouldn’t be bullied into submission.’
She later re-posted a comment from preacher and author Shane Pruitt that appeared to be a response against backlash against her.
‘Contrary to the tone of the world today…’ the post begins. ‘You can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind.’
Taylor however has previously accused Trump of ‘gaslighting the American public,’ and treating the US ‘like an autocracy’.
Endorsing Biden and Harris in 2020, she wrote: ‘The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included,’.
