“Survey: Eagles Fans Voted Rudest in NFL, Cowboys Fans ‘Brag’ and Chiefs Fans ‘Drink Too Much’… Where Do Your Team’s Fans Rank Ahead of the New Season?

As the NFL season kicks off in full this weekend, stars like Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and Tyreek Hill will return to the field.

But adjacent to the action on the field, fans will also take their rightful place in the stands – and a new survey has ranked the rudest fanbases throughout the league.

In the study done by AGamble.com with the help of 1,200 fans, one team’s fanbase takes the top – or bottom – spot: the Philadelphia Eagles.

The team is coached by Nick Sirianni – also voted the third-rudest coach in the league – while the Philly fans’ rudest behavior was deemed to be their propensity for starting fights.

The Cowboys (excessive bragging) and Raiders (excessive drinking) rounded out the top three rudest fanbases, with Dallas’ quarterback Dak Prescott also being named as the third-rudest passer – along with the Jets’ Aaron Rodgers (No. 1 rudest) and Browns’ Deshaun Watson (second-rudest).

And Cowboys fans were deemed to be the second-rudest by fans - with their fellow fans saying they brag excessively

Another rude behavior that fans singled out was using profanity, with the Steelers fans being ranked fifth-rudest for that reason.

Seahawks fans (20th-rudest) were also recognized for their habit of mocking other fans, while Rams fans (23rd-rudest) are known for their social media trolling.

Broncos faithful (25th-rudest) were also pointed out for their propensity to use inappropriate gestures at others.

Ultimately though, excessive drinking was named as the rudest behavior for 13 different franchises’ fanbases – the most on the list – including for the Chiefs at No. 9.

Additionally, fans concluded that the rudest fan behavior in general was standing up or blocking someone’s view (59 percent of respondents), followed by spilling drinks on someone (51 percent), cutting in line (48 percent), using profanity (45 percent) and blocking the aisle (44 percent).

Other behaviors to be frowned upon by fans in the survey included heckling (42 percent), crying children (36 percent), squatting/sitting in someone else’s seat (34 percent), constantly getting up from one’s seat (26 percent), and talking on the phone (24 percent).

Respondents also said that Chiefs fans' rudest behavior was drinking too much
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was also named the third-rudest quarterback in the NFL
And Broncos coach Sean Payton was recognized as the rudest coach in the survey

Meanwhile, fans also decided that Cowboys fans had the thinnest skin, followed by Patriots fans, Chiefs fans, Eagles fans and Bears fans.

They also concluded that the Broncos’ Sean Payton was the rudest coach in the league, with the Chargers’ Jim Harbaugh at No. 2.

After Sirianni at No. 3, John Harbaugh (Ravens) and Mike McCarthy (Cowboys) rounded out the top five.

Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson were also ranked the fourth- and fifth-rudest quarterbacks respectively.

AGamble.com said that the study relied on self-reporting, which ‘may be subject to recall bias or social desirability bias.’

The site said that the respondents were located across the United States, with 57 percent of the participants male, 42 percent female and 1 percent non-binary/non-conforming.

The average age of the participants was also 42 years old.
