Fujian tulou, Fujian: Tulou is the home of the Hakka people in remote valleys in the Minxi mountains, Fujian province. More than 20,000 tulou here are considered “living fossils” of ancient Chinese architecture. These houses are often round, square and oval in shape. Each tulou can be considered a small village or a “little kingdom” of a large family. Phoenix ancient town, Hunan: The ancient mountain town in the western part of Hunan province is an attractive destination, attracting the attention of international “travel enthusiasts”. Phuong Hoang is an ancient town hundreds of years old with many different types of architecture. The highlight is Diao Ciao Lau, a type of ancient stilt house that combines traditional Miao ethnic architecture and Han culture. Unlike the usual stilt houses with the entire house built on wooden pillars, Dieu Cuoc Lau only has half of the floor resting on rows of pillars supporting the mountainside or the water. Longxiyuan Apartment, Guizhou: Guizhou is famous for its rural villages, canyons and majestic waterfalls, but there is also no shortage of dense “concrete forests”. Long Hi Uyen residential area is a typical example with large balcony apartments stacked on top of each other looking like a giant maze with no way out. The unique old architecture and bustling colors intertwine to create an interesting visual illusion for viewers. Thien Tu Hotel, Hebei: Located in Lang Phuong, Tam Ky city, Hebei province, Thien Tu hotel stands out and is completely different from the surrounding area. Possessing a spectacular design, the image of the three giant Gods of Wealth Phuc Loc Tho “standing tall in the middle of the east street” on the front of the building immediately impresses onlookers. Guinness World Records recognized Thien Tu Hotel as “the biggest image building in the world” in 2011.

Lotus Building, Jiangsu: The project is another unique structure located in Wujin town, Changzhou, Jiangsu province. Looking like a brightly blooming lotus rising from the water, the building’s beautiful structure is designed by Studio 505, an Australian architecture company. Wu Liangyi wine jar building, Sichuan: Located in Yibin (Sichuan) the hometown of China’s most popular Baijiu wine, this strange building is the headquarters of Wu Liangyi company. Built on a land area of more than 6,200 m2, the “giant wine bottle” has a height of 56.2 m with 13 floors and a capacity of about 300 people.
