Wednesday night was a great day for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
United States gymnastics superstar Simone Biles was in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night as the Indiana Fever guard made history against the Connecticut Sun.
Fellow Olympian Gabby Thomas, who won multiple golds on the track, was also present. They both met up with the team after the game.
The scene in the locker room was crazy, as each girl and staff member got to take pictures with the Olympians.
Wednesday night was great for the team in their pursuit of a playoff spot.
For the first time since the 2021 regular season, the Indiana Fever beat the Connecticut Sun behind the play of Caitlin Clark.
Biles is no stranger to overcoming adversity. She came back from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where she had to drop out of certain events, to making history in 2024. Her 11 Olympic medals are the most by any U.S. gymnast. She added four more medals to her overall total during the 2024 Paris Games.
Caitlin Clark Makes History With Another Made Three-Pointer
With her 86th 3-pointer of her debut season, Caitlin Clark set another record during her astounding rookie campaign.
The No. 1 overall draft pick is now the record-holder for most 3s by a rookie. She broke the record of 85 set in 2022 by former No. 1 pick Rhyne Howard, per ESPN.
What makes this more impressive is that Howard reached her total in a 34-game regular season, while Clark exceeded the mark in her 31st game.
For this year so far, Clark is averaging 18.0 points, 8.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game entering Wednesday’s action.
