When one dog cried out in pain, it seemed like she was begging us to help her severely injured baby.
She didn’t try to react any further as we carefully lifted her son, who had two deep cuts, into the ambulance.
We couldn’t take her with us because she had four other babies to look after.
We would do everything we could to save her baby and bring him home, and we hoped she would understand that.
Your little one was so brave that he never resisted having his wounds bandaged.
But he still had a problem. His wounds hurt so much that he couldn’t walk for a few days.
We didn’t know if the nerve damage would last or not. But Taggle was comfortable as he got better, and while we fell in love with his sweet personality, we knew there was something very important waiting for him when he got home.
