Reggie Bush wants a fresh start for his baby boy, Agyemang Bush.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the former football player and his wife, Lilit Avagyan, now want their baby boy, who’s their third child together, to bear a different name. The motion was filed in Los Angeles, California on Thursday and it comes over six years after the couple welcomed him.
Reggie Bush & His Partner Have A Change Of Heart About Their Son’s Original Name
Reggie and his wife have filed for their son’s name to be changed from Agyemang Bush to Agyeman Bush. Citing the date of birth as September 2, 2017, the lovebirds specified that the reason for the name change was a “desire to change the spelling of their son’s name to drop the ‘g’ on the end.”

The ex-running back had previously made news when he and Lilt welcomed their son during an eventful Labor Day weekend. Despite the news of the pregnancy breaking months before the baby’s arrival, they both chose to remain private on social media about the matter.
Their silence, however, didn’t stop fans from speculating that Lilit’s due date was quickly approaching after the dancer was spotted flaunting her baby bump during a hike in Los Angeles in August 2017.
According to E! Online at the time, the mother of three had posted pictures of her hike on Instagram alongside the caption, “Be a blessing and let your actions bring joy and happiness to people. God is good all the time. Ps. I used @bodybeatbyanna as a stool to get up there.”
The post, which has since been scrubbed from the social media platform, also explained how Anna Avagyan, the fitness dance instructor tagged above, had helped keep in share throughout her third pregnancy.
To that end, Lilt had written, “@bodybeatbyanna kept me [strong] while baking this baby. Contact her and she will get your body right.”
Inside Reggie Bush’s Relationships
If you’re wondering who Lilt is, The Sun U.S. detailed in 2021 that she’s an Armenian dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher and has an impressive history in dance.
In 2010, she emerged as the victor in the “Rising Star Dance Competition” after dedicating more than 12 years to her dance training in Europe. Later, at 33 years old, she competed in the Latin American World Championships in Australia.
Additionally, she appeared as a guest star on “Dancing With The Stars,” although videos of her time on the show aren’t widely accessible. The now 35-year-old eventually danced her way into Reggie’s heart in 2011 following the end of his highly publicized relationship.
Fans will recall that the University of Southern California alum dated business mogul and reality star Kim Kardashian in 2007 before their love fizzled out after two years. Later in 2010, the father of three was said to be romantically involved with country singer Jesse James before he eventually met Lilit a year later.
The duo dated for two years, during which they welcomed their first child, daughter Briseis, before walking down the aisle in an intimate ceremony at The Grand Del Mar Hotel in San Diego, California.
Besides having their friends and loved ones at the event, Reggie and Lilt also had one notable guest in the form of Kim’s stepbrother, Sam Brody Jenner. The 40-year-old model and DJ is the third oldest son of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner.
He was born during the former Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete’s second marriage to “Hee Haw Honey” actress Linda Thompson.
